Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.= (experience)
• 3+ years of solid understanding of GNSS / Cellular / WiFi / Bluetooth / NFC and related Connectivity / RF technologies (experience, 3 years)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to thrive in a reciprocal environment (experience)
• Deep understanding of QA methodologies and automation strategy (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of chipset validation lifecycle, testing methodologies, and testing tools (experience)
• Knowledge of AGNSS / Cellular location simulations required for functional, performance, 3GPP conformance validation (experience)
• Experience in debugging GNSS logs to triage and root-cause issues ,with development of custom analysis scripts considered a plus (experience)
• Ability to drive cross-functional communications and understanding dependencies while also ensuring a tight timeline can be maintained (experience)
• Experience in design and development of automated test harnesses & data analysis tooling (experience)
• Prior experience of working in fast-paced, agile environment, with flexibility to pivot easily to support new user requirements (experience)
• Knowledge of Python coding, machine learning algorithms and novel genAI techniques that can be leveraged for automation and analysis (experience)
• Strong mentoring skills and a commitment to team development (experience)

Responsibilities

• The Software Location QE team undertakes special projects for the Sensing and Connectivity groups at Apple. These projects have ranged from developing data crowdsourcing systems to prototyping apps & features for future OS releases. Our team is looking for an engineer with a deep understanding of GNSS / Cellular location technologies to continue to improve the reliability and robustness of our proprietary system. In this role you will work closely with hardware and software developers to ensure features are developed with high quality and performance.
