Job Description
We are a group of engineers working on making Siri more intelligent and intuitive to interact with. We focus on innovating multimodal machine learning solutions that improve the experience for our users. We adapt our technologies based on various sensors available on different hardware products and make them run efficiently. We collaborate with various teams at Apple to deploy these innovative solutions to our products. As a member of the team you will be responsible for researching and developing innovative ML solutions for challenging problems that will meaningfully affect how users interact with Siri on Apple products. You will be looking at the user experience we want to deliver, define the optimization metrics and propose solutions to achieve the goal. You will bring these innovations to life by working collaboratively with partner teams to take them all the way to production. You are self-motivated, excellent problem solver with strong execution. You are good at building relationships and work well with change and ambiguity. You have strong programming skills with tried experience prototyping and converting ideas into reality.

Preferred Qualifications
- PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field. (degree in msc in computer science)
- Proven industry experience in building ML-based production features (experience)
- Experience in optimizing machine learning models for efficient inference on device (experience)
- Industry experience in implementing and training multimodal LLM or VLM (experience)
- Expertise in one or more of computer vision, audio signal processing and motion signal processing (experience)
