Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Optical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Physics) or a related technical field. (degree in engineering)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively engage, influence, and present to partners at all levels. (experience)
• 6+ years of experience in Engineering Program Management, Technical Program Management, or a similar role within a technology-driven industry. (experience, 6 years)
• 2+ years of direct people management experience, leading and developing technical program managers or engineering teams. (experience, 2 years)
• Good working knowledge of algorithm pipelines, camera module technology, and/or depth sensing technologies. (experience)
• 5+ years relevant industry experience in one or more technologies: display, motion sensing, optical sensing, touch sensing, camera and depth sensing technologies. (experience, 5 years)
• Good understanding of NPI process, metrology development principles and best practices. (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in one or more of the following: optical metrology, motion-sensing metrology, touch metrology, image sensor technology, computer vision algorithms, 3D sensing (e.g., ToF, Structured Light). (experience)
• Understanding of hardware/software architecture and interoperability of complex systems (experience)
• Knowledge of statistical data analysis, design, process and test FMEA. (experience)
• High volume consumer electronics calibration, testing and manufacturing experience. (experience)
• Technical leadership and/or project management experience with excellent oral and written communication skills. (experience)
• Ability to bring focus and transparency to complex situations while monitoring the bigger picture and the needs of a rapid development cycle. (experience)

Responsibilities

• We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager for our Technology Engineering Program Management (EPM) team in Shanghai, China. This pivotal role involves leading a skilled and diverse team of EPMs focused on the development and implementation of innovative metrology solutions, and algorithms for display, sensors, camera and depth sensing technologies.
• This role will be instrumental in establishing and nurturing critical functional partnerships with stakeholders across the company, spanning different geographic locations. This position requires you to own and drive high-impact meetings, work closely with senior leaders to review technology/module roadmaps, and strategically tie these roadmaps to investments in new technologies and the right metrology solutions. • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse, multi-functional team of Engineering Program Managers (EPMs), fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Drive team performance and individual growth.
• Stakeholder Partnership: Establish, continuously maintain, and nurture robust functional partnerships with key partners across Apple (Engineering, Operations, Product and Research) - across timezones and continents Engineering, Product, and other multi-functional teams globally.
• Strategic Alignment & Roadmap Influence: Work proactively with key HWTE technology partners in Europe, US and Asia to review and understand technology/module roadmaps. Ensure strategic alignment between new technology investments and the development of appropriate, scalable, and forward-looking metrology solutions.
• Technical Program Execution: Lead all aspects of and drive successful execution of metrology development and algorithm pipelines from concept through to mass production for complex technologies. Support NPI builds/ characterization activities at CM/OEM partners.
