Partner with multi-functional teams to evaluate design and processes at the concept phase Develop measurement technologies, control strategies, information systems, and manufacturing methods that achieve ambitious specifications at massive production scale Compile and evaluate data to figure out appropriate limits and variables for process and part specifications Lead activities to balance unparalleled quality with scalable yields Work with internal and external groups to ensure that proper definition of quality expectations and that appropriate assurance techniques are used for the product Establish audit procedures appropriate to the program and suppliers to ensure consistency to Apple quality standards Drive corrective actions multi-functionally with internal and external team members Work with x-functional team to develop automated mass-production measurement & inspection machines. Design, develop, optimize, review and debug software used in interacting with products and instrumentation. Conduct HW/SW/FW validation and FA for testing metrology, instruments and systems by technical benchmarking (ex: Gauge R&R process) Deploy calibration and performance verification stations throughout the NPI cycle

Required Qualifications
- Proven working experience in manufacturing field, with BS, MS, or PhD in mechanical, manufacturing, Electrical, industrial engineering or similar. (experience)
- Proven working experience in mechanical design of fixtures, measurement & inspection machines. (experience)
- Programming skills in one or more of the following: C/C++/Objective-C/Lua/Python. (experience)
- Fluent in English communication. (experience)
- Good initiative, problem solving, systematic thinking. (experience)
- Strong learning capability. (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Statistics, Data Science, ML. (experience)
- Experience with image processing algorithms development. (experience)
- Experience in camera performance characterization, non-imaging optics. (experience)
- Experience with hardware testing, calibration and test system bring up, test metrology design and validation. Experience with DFM and DFT. (experience)
- Oversea education background is preferred. (experience)
Responsibilities
