This role entails preparing materials, setting up the CNC Mill/Turn machines, programming tool paths, and conducting thorough spot checks on finished components, all while ensuring adherence to stringent quality and safety standards. As a CNC prototype machinist, you will be responsible for working independently on assignments that demand exceptional judgment and initiative. You will collaborate closely with a team to ensure the production of high-quality products. - Experience setting up, operating, and programming a CNC machine in a 3D CAD/CAM environment (experience)
- Ability to program complex 3D parts (experience)
- Experience holding close tolerances and validating critical features and dimensions using hand metrology equipment (experience)
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ yrs experience in multi-axis operation and programming (experience)
- Programming experience with general part geometries as well as free form shapes (experience)
- Knowledge of Machine code (experience)
- Experience using horizontal and vertical saws, manual mills and lathes (experience)
- Ability to apply and advise on Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (experience)
- Experience reading, interpreting and applying detailed part drawing requirements (experience)
