As a key member of the SAP Development Team, you will lead a group of skilled developers passionate about crafting, building, and deploying enterprise-grade solutions across both on-premise and cloud environments. This role requires a hands-on leader with proven people management experience and a strong technical background in SAP technologies and platforms. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of leadership, strategic thinking, and practical experience in delivering robust and scalable enterprise solutions. As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of skilled SAP ABAP engineers, make decisions impacting multi-functional partners and take ownership of team’s end-to-end deliverables. You will contribute to code reviews and risk assessments, and represent the team and technology in meetings with functional teams and business units. You will clarify requirements and set objectives for multi-functional software projects. You will also plan a multi-year roadmap, supervise SAP application development, and develop and grow engineers within the team.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent. (degree in computer science)
- 12+ years of experience building and scaling enterprise-grade SAP systems and applications that meet the demands of high-volume environments. (experience, 12 years)
- 4+ years of leadership / management experience, demonstrating proven technical leadership and the ability to encourage and guide team members (experience, 4 years)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (experience)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with members across different technical and functional domains (experience)
- Strong foundation in software development principles and system architecture (experience)
- Understanding of S/4 HANA database tables and data models (experience)
- Hands-on programming experience with SAP ABAP RICEFW objects, OData/SOAP web services, HANA stored procedures, AMDP, Restful ABAP programming, side-by-side extensibility and other SAP modern technologies (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of SAP technologies/frameworks such as SAPUI5, Fiori, CAP, and SAP BTP Services is a plus (experience)
- Development experience in ABAP Cloud, SAP UI5/Fiori and RAP/CAPM is a plus (experience)
- Experience / Exposure building solutions using AI/ML technologies. (experience)
- Certifications like ABAP on HANA is a plus. (certification)
Responsibilities
- As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of skilled SAP ABAP engineers, make decisions impacting multi-functional partners and take ownership of team’s end-to-end deliverables. - Drive all aspects of technical development, from technical design through successful solution delivery.
- Collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders.
- Manage project activities, including scope definition, prioritization, issue escalation, and status reporting.
- Deliver high-quality SAP solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with challenging timelines.
- Manage multiple tasks and concurrent initiatives with shifting priorities.
- Stay at the forefront of new technologies and frameworks.
- Maintain a self-motivated, detail-oriented approach with strong sensitivity to schedules and scope.
- Work seamlessly with distributed, multi-regional teams across different time zones.
