The Apple Services Engineering Music ML team is looking for a passionate ML Software Engineering Manager to lead a variety of key initiatives to keep us at the cutting edge of music recommendations, personalisation, and artificial intelligence. Required Qualifications
- Experienced in managing software engineering teams running core AI/ML services and/or ML systems at scale (experience)
- Previous experience with hands-on work and shipping products in an AI and/or ML domain, like recommender systems, NLP, information retrieval, relevance, ranking, or large language models. (experience)
- Strong track record previously as an individual contributor having engineered and shipped services & features at scale. (experience)
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Machine Learning; or significant practical experience in software engineering (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- A proven track record of leading, motivating and building strong software teams – enabling engineers to do the best work of their lifetime (experience)
- Proven experience as a leader having set technical direction and strategy in the form of technical roadmaps and executing on it. (experience)
- A vision of how to build modern recommendation systems and how to engineer modern ML-driven pipelines, APIs and services at scale (experience)
- Attention to detail and a strong passion for quality – experience architecting, designing and developing high quality personalisation experiences (experience)
- Ability to effectively communicate with multi-functional teams about product requirements, system architecture, APIs and project schedules. (experience)
