The Vision Products Group (VPG) is looking for a senior Media Software Engineer to help us push the limits of the next generation of spatial media. This team works on key technologies and frameworks that enables spatial media experiences on Vision Pro and future AR/VR products. We are looking for a Video/Imaging Software Engineer to join our team of media processing specialists. Your mission will be to work on the next generation media technologies, design, develop, and implement media processing pipeline and frameworks that powers exciting media experiences on Apple Vision Pro. We need your passion, knowledge, and creativity to solve complex technical challenges. Required Qualifications
- B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering OR equivalent degree OR equivalent experience (experience)
- 10+ years of experience with software development (experience, 10 years)
- Experience with image and video processing, media processing pipelines (experience)
- Excellent programming skills and proficient with one of the programming languages: C/C++, Objective-C, and Swift (experience)
- Strong problem solving and analytical thinking skills (experience)
- A strong focus on end user experience (experience)
- Creative and collaborative approach to problem solving, and a drive to build products that surprise and delight. (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Success shipping media products involving image and video processing, video capture/playback, or media processing pipeline is a plus (experience)
- Familiarity with AR/VR technologies (experience)
- Experience with iOS / macOS development (experience)
- Experience with developing media SDKs, frameworks and customer facing APIs (experience)
- Hands-on experience with core machine learning algorithms and tools (experience)
- Experience with media formats (HEVC, H264, JPEG, etc). (experience)
Responsibilities
- We are looking for a Video/Imaging Software Engineer to join our team of media processing specialists. Your mission will be to work on the next generation media technologies, design, develop, and implement media processing pipeline and frameworks that powers exciting media experiences on Apple Vision Pro.

- Innovate and pioneer cutting-edge technologies that redefine how we experience and consume media
- Design and develop media processing software frameworks and SDKs for Apple Vision Pro and new AR/VR products
- Optimize media processing pipelines by minimizing utilization of critical hardware resources(GPU, CPU, memory, etc)
- Analyze software issues, and develop fixes for software anomalies
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams(software, hardware, algorithms and UX) to create ground breaking technologies and systems
- Present results clearly and discuss design and implementation effectively
