The Services External Marketing Group at Apple drives new customer acquisition and cultivates awareness of Apple’s services and accompanying content through a variety of external marketing channels. Our growing team is seeking a Social Operations Lead to support the Organic Social Team in the Services division. In this role, you’ll be tasked with working cross functionally with multiple teams and external partners, owning organic social specific operations and sitting within the Operations Team within the External Marketing Group. We're seeking an enthusiastic, self motivated Social Operations Lead to manage operations for our Social Media Team. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in social media programming, reporting, and campaign management across key social platforms and management tools.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience managing organic social accounts for reputable brands (experience, 8 years)
  • Prior responsibilities should include: platform management, content ideation and development, and publishing (experience)
  • Expert-level understanding of organic social marketing strategy, nuances of the different platforms, and the purpose they each serve in multi-platform campaigns or always-on evergreen support (experience)
  • Aptitude for operational duties including but not limited to: platform and partner management including agency relations; tool selection and procurement; asset management and approval process oversight; contract renewals; and platform and tool troubleshooting (experience)
  • Experience with publishing tools and other complementary tools for managing social accounts (experience)

  • Extensive experience in project management, documentation, and administrative duties (experience)
  • A process and solutions-oriented mindset: able to identify process gaps and adept at building better workflows to help boost efficiency (experience)
  • An accomplished collaborator; comfortable with leaning on the right people to help solve complex problems (experience)
  • Ability to lead multiple tasks, navigate ambiguity, and adapt to a rapidly evolving environment (experience)
  • Comfortable with working cross-functionally and able to forge strong partnerships with multiple teams and stakeholders (experience)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (experience)
  • Highly detail oriented and outstanding organization skills (experience)
  • Great at always meeting deadlines (experience)

Responsibilities

  • We're seeking an enthusiastic, self motivated Social Operations Lead to manage operations for our Social Media Team. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in social media programming, reporting, and campaign management across key social platforms and management tools.
  • Partnering with multiple teams and assisting in managing organic social involved cross-channel initiatives
  • Managing tool selection, budget process, contract renewals, and procurement process for new tools
  • Overseeing sourcing and approval process of assets for organic social platforms
  • Leading account security process across all platforms and assisting with managing compliance to internal policy on social media accounts
  • Supporting agency and external partner needs, including: account and application access, equipment ordering/provisioning, and travel
  • Building relationships and liaising with tool and platform representatives to stay on top of platform changes, new features, beta enrollment, and to troubleshooting issues as they arise
  • Provide oversight to process conformity for external social activation teams, specifically those responsible for social creative production, publishing, and managing the accounts day-to-day
  • Support internal social media educational efforts and weekly social newsletter production
  • Organize and document process and policy for social as needed, including: emergency and contingency plans, approach to accessibility, general publishing guidelines, and anything regarding social presence and footprint
