Business Process Re-engineering team in India is looking for an expert Ruby on Rails engineer. In this role you will be partnering with multi-functional teams across Apple. You will work closely with our business leaders and other partners to implement new solutions. The candidate is encouraged to work independently, understand the needs and build the solutions for sophisticated architecture and comfortable working at a high pace at times. - Develop and maintain highly reliable, scalable, and maintainable enterprise applications that can match Apple volumes - Understand requirements, engage with team members, multi-functional teams and project managers to define solutions, and estimate the scope of work required - Collaborate with, mentor, and influence members within your team and across other teams at Apple - Deliver solutions that can keep up with a constantly evolving product in a timely fashion - Review technical designs and perform code review

Required Qualifications
- At least 7+ years of experience in designing and developing scalable enterprise grade solutions (experience, 7 years)
- Extensive hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails, Postgres, Redis and Sidekiq (experience)
- Hands-on with architecture, design, development and deployment of enterprise systems in cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) (experience)
- Experience in rolling out distributed, large-scale, low latency web applications with REST, Data Caching Services, DB schema design and data access technologies (experience)
- Experience crafting and architecting distributed systems, concurrent programming, and coding data structures (experience)
- Excellent debugging skills (experience)
- Good understanding of containerization and container orchestration with docker and kubernetes (experience)
- Experience designing ecosystems for Web applications & API Platforms (experience)
- Understand security concepts and build reliable and safe distributed applications (experience)
- Experience with leading and mentoring Engineers (experience)
- Ability to optimally multi-task and support multiple, concurrent projects (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with DevSecOps fundamentals - CI/CD pipelines, continuous monitoring (experience)
- Familiarity with Go, Java, Python (experience)
- BS or MS degree in computer science or information management (degree in ms degree in computer science or information management)
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills (experience)
- Experience in a large enterprise, with a global environment, across multiple timezones and geographies (experience)
