The Data Solutions & Initiatives (DSI) team supports Apple’s business leaders as they project, manage, and report on business performance. We do this by driving vast improvements for our customers, experiences that delight, platforms that scale to meet the demands of the business, tools that provide crucial productivity and insights. This is a senior software engineering role. You will collaborate closely day-to-day with other engineers, users and business leaders to plan, design, build and deliver high-quality, scalable and resilient cloud-based software solutions that enable enriched and intelligent data exploration, analytics and reporting. Your responsibilities will include: • Leading technical direction and execution. Demonstrate rigor through implementations that can scale to meet business needs with high availability, performant and robustness • Developing, maintaining, and reviewing software with a focus on quality, maintainability and innovation • Collaborating with cross-functional partners (e.g. Product Manager, ML Engineer, Data Scientist, DevOps) to design and deliver robust solutions in a timely and cost-efficient manner • Providing technical oversight for the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring plan and outcomes align to expected functional and non-functional requirements • Debugging production issue, perform root cause analysis and ensure timely followups on short-term and long-term solutions • Mentoring and coaching less experienced engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning • Researching novel technologies, building proofs of concept and presenting learnings • Promoting and exemplifying technical excellence and innovation

Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with impeccable analytical and problem-solving skills (experience, 7 years)
- Proven track record of delivering complex and business-critical engineering solutions (experience)
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and one compiled language, e.g. Java, Go, Scala (experience)
- Familiarity with systems architecture, distributed systems and big data technologies (experience)
- Knowledge of infrastructure, various data stores and caches (experience)
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts (experience)
- Ability to guide teams through iterative planning, execution, and delivery processes (experience)
- Strong understanding of designing for resilience and self-healing capabilities (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience (experience, 10 years)
- Proven track record of architecting and developing distributed systems leveraging big data technologies with long-term viability (experience)
- Proven hands-on experience in rapid system scaling, performance and resilience testing (experience)
- Deep knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms (experience)
- Familiarity with data modeling and machine learning algorithms (experience)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (experience)
