The Creativity Apps team needs your help shaping the next generation of creative editing tools by working on state-of-the-art technologies to surprise and delight creative pros and enthusiasts alike. You’ll be working with the world-class teams behind Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, iMovie, and GarageBand to create next-generation tools for creators! Ready to join us? As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll work with world class creatives, designers, and engineers to help innovate in the creative space in ways that only Apple can. This is a highly visible, highly impactful opportunity! In this software engineering role, you will be part of a new team that is creating novel user experiences on iOS, iPadOS & macOS, powered by state-of-the-art image algorithms and machine learning models. You will leverage your excellent programming and analytical skills, along with your knowledge of photography and colour science, to devise best-in-class solutions to image processing problems. You will be working closely with cross-functional partners, stakeholders and development teams in Cupertino and across the world and you should be comfortable driving projects independently in this environment.

- Practical experience with developing image processing algorithms (experience)
- An ability to devise and understand mathematical solutions to image processing problems (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills (experience)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (experience)
- An understanding of colour science (experience)
- Knowledge of the aesthetics of visual imaging (experience)
- A deep understanding of and experience with photography or videography (experience)
- Relevant industry experience (experience)
- Fundamental understanding of camera systems and sensors (experience)
- Experience with developing for Apple platforms (experience)
- MS/PhD degree in CS/Mathematics or equivalent experience (experience)
