Job Description

Working at the intersection of product, entertainment and design, the Apple TV Content Design team is focused on building the absolute best TV experience possible for our users. From creative development for an award-winning shows or movie to brand design for a new sports league to influencing next year’s feature roadmap, our cross-discipline group partners closely with groups across Apple to improve TV App every day. As the team dedicated to representing our subscribers, our Strategy practice extends across all of these discreet projects. If you’re excited about understanding why people love shows, movies & sports and how a new tv brand can make that experience better for them, this might be the right role for you. From leading internal teams to inspiring external partners, the Senior Experience Strategist will be integral in how we feature and experiment with tv content across the TV App. You have managed teams to deliver your own strategic POV & vision in developing best-in-class creative. You’re as comfortable riffing with an A-Lister or Executive Producer as you are digging deep with a Data Scientist. You have strong organizational skills and understand that “I don’t know” or “I need help” aren’t scary words. You understand that different people might love the same show for distinct reasons—and are genuinely excited in figuring out exactly what those differences are. As the streaming service & App enter this new phase, the Senior Experience Strategist is a key player in how Content Design will define the future of the tv overall experience.

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of work experience in brand / creative strategy (experience, 12 years)
  • Must have managed FTE / assignment strategists in the past. (experience)
  • Ability to create simple yet impactful presentations. Highly skilled communicator with strong instincts—capable of quickly developing a strategic POV or project approach & rallying others to work together on it. (experience)
  • Skilled at using data to identify new opportunities & inform strategic POVs across consumer touch-points. (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in TV/film strongly preferred—either as agency client or internal at streaming service. (experience)
  • Flexible (and excited) about the prospect of solving different kinds of strategic problems on a daily basis. (experience)
  • Strong foresight—both in identifying big opportunities on the horizon as well as anticipating challenges. (experience)
  • Ability to quickly glean creative insights from data—ideally, experience with creative experimentation / optimization. (experience)
  • A strong collaborator who likes to dig into the creative work alongside wide variety of partners. (experience)
  • An expert at representing the consumer—communicating their needs in human, straightforward language. (experience)
  • Loves great TV. Capable of working within what’s possible with TV today, but unafraid to bring “what ifs?" to the table. (experience)
