Job Description
The Instrumentation and Test technology team architects and designs best-in-class Test and Measurement Systems. The team is a collaborative group of creative and smart people developing highly complex and sophisticated Test and Measurement Systems to support the testing of sensors in our world-class products. This individual will play a key role in defining, architecting, specifying, designing, validating, and developing Test and Measurement Instruments to support new product bring up, characterization, ramp, and production. You will play a key role in architecting, specifying, designing, developing, validating and launching our touch technology product characterization & instrumentation software and firmware. Working with a wide cross-functional teams on new cutting-edge products, you will enable critical sensor calibration and testing in a high pace & energy product development team. You will be responsible for, Architecting, designing, developing instrumentation hardware, software & firmware platforms required to test and calibrate sensors Production instrumentation software creation and roll-out to suppliers Authoring sensing technology instrumentation engineering requirements documents Prototyping, bring-up, debug and characterization of instruments for new Apple new products Preparing and delivering technical presentations Defect root cause analysis and resolution, including diligent bug database tracking Supplier liaison, including supporting instrumentation bring up and qualification at engineering builds, usually in Asia.

Required Qualifications
- B.S. in related field and minimum of 3 years of relevant experience . (experience, 3 years)
- Experience with Software & Hardware that interfaces & controls instruments (experience)
- Experience in one of the following: Software development using C/C++ (embedded & industrial control), and/or Electronics debugging tools (DMM, Oscilloscopes), and/or Circuit & electrical engineering fundamentals (schematics/data sheets) (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Objective C and Mac Software development workflows (experience)
- Experience in firmware development (knowledge of I2C, SPI, and other protocols) in data acquisition & measurement applications (experience)
- Experience working in high-volume consumer electronics projects (experience)
- Background with Touch or Sensing Technology (experience)
- Experience with digital signal processing or image processing (experience)
- Experience with using instrument camera and optical capture system as bonus (experience)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (experience)
- Excellent problem-solving skills to debug and perform failure analysis across a variety of engineering domains (experience)
- Experience in design of experiment (DOE) and other problem-solving processes (experience)
- Able to understand and perform statistical data analysis (eg. JMP, Minitab, R) (experience)
- Able to make international travel to Asia up to 25% of the time (experience)
