The WatchOS QA team is seeking a QA Engineer to help us ensure that our Watch experience is rock-solid and customer-focused. We're looking for critical thinkers who would like to play a key role qualifying Watch Faces and Complications and the frameworks that support them. We practice nimble, fast-paced development that relies heavily on a tight relationship between Engineering and QA. As a member of our passionate group in WatchOS QA, you will have the unique and rewarding opportunity to shape and improve the software that allows our products to delight and inspire millions of Apple’s customers every day. In this position you will need to be self-motivated with strong technical and interpersonal skills. Day to day tasks will involve functional testing of iOS and watchOS applications, with a focus on watch faces and complications, sometimes across concurrent release vectors. Your responsibilities will include design and implementation of test plans and test cases, risk analysis, cross- functional testing coordination, and integration testing across the system.

Required Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent recent on-the-job experience in Software QA. (experience)

- At ease and adaptable in a dynamic and informal atmosphere. (experience)
- Excellent communication skills are a requirement due to the high level of interaction with engineering teams, management, and other organizations within Apple. (experience)
- Highly organized, creative, self-motivated, and passionate about achieving results Excited about Watch Faces and WatchOS in general. (experience)
Responsibilities
- In this position you will need to be self-motivated with strong technical and interpersonal skills. Day to day tasks will involve functional testing of iOS and watchOS applications, with a focus on watch faces and complications, sometimes across concurrent release vectors. Your responsibilities will include design and implementation of test plans and test cases, risk analysis, cross- functional testing coordination, and integration testing across the system.
- In this position you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of unreleased software by planning, designing, and executing tests to identify issues in a timely manner, escalating issues to management, and ensuring the software quality meets Apple’s quality.
- Key responsibilities include
- Reviewing requirements.
- Developing test plans and cases.
- Completing various types of testing (functional, regression, performance).
- Documenting and tracking issues.
- Collaborating with development teams.
- Monitoring quality metrics throughout the product development lifecycle.
