Apple’s Wireless Software Architecture team is seeking hardworking, highly motivated and self-directed engineers to work across layers on cutting edge wireless cellular technologies. The position involves identifying and/or developing core wireless technologies that solves everyday problems for customers using iPhone, iPad, Watch and other wireless product lines. Apple’s Cellular Software team is seeking talented, highly motivated and disciplined engineers to work across layers on groundbreaking cellular technologies. The position involves identifying and/or developing core cellular technologies that solves everyday problems for customers using iPhone, iPad, Watch and other wireless product lines. This team takes pride in not just coming up with proven software designs but also in disrupting traditional models of the cellular ecosystem. We do whatever it takes to bring user experience to the next level. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering. (degree in master)
- 2+ years of experience in developing network protocol stacks or radio interface layer. (experience, 2 years)
- Strong programming skills in C/C++, Objective C, Swift. (experience)
- Strong architectural knowledge and experience in framework-level development (experience)
- Experience with writing software involving user space, kernel space interaction. (experience)
- Proven experience in writing software for multi-threaded environments and OS layer optimization for framework. (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- 3GPP specification protocol knowledge on 5G NR / LTE. (experience)
- Experience in domain-specific knowledge such as cellular protocols related to NAS or AS modules. (experience)
- Development experience on embedded systems and realtime operating systems. (experience)
- Attention to the smallest details that are meaningful to customers. (experience)
