In this technical role, you will be part of a silicon design group responsible for system integration, design of radio calibration algorithms, chip bringup, and characterization of state-of-the-art wireless SoC products from conception to production. We are looking for an exceptional engineer with experience in designing novel calibration algorithms for wireless systems.

Required Qualifications

  • BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience. (experience, 10 years)
  • Hands-on experience with chip bringup, tuning wireless transmitter or receiver chain for optimal performance. (experience)
  • In-depth knowledge in communication theory, OFDM systems, RF system architecture and signal processing algorithms (such as timing recovery, signal estimation and detection, automatic gain control, RF impairment estimation and correction, coexistence). (experience)
  • Experience designing algorithms for calibration, pre-equalization or digital pre-distortion techniques. (experience)
  • Experience with Python, Matlab, or C/C++ implementation. (experience)
  • Hands-on experience using wireless test lab equipment (spectrum analyzer, signal generator, network analyzer, power meter). (experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters or PhD degree in Electrical engineering. (degree in phd degree in electrical engineering)
  • Knowledge of wireless communication protocols like IEEE 802.11 standards or LTE. (experience)
  • Experience with pre-silicon validation using emulation and FPGA prototyping tools and methodologies (experience)
  • Excellent analytical and debug skills, with prior experience in failure analysis at various stages of a project. (experience)
  • Experience building test automation and verification flow development with scripting languages such as Python. (experience)

Responsibilities

  • In this technical role, you will be part of a silicon design group responsible for system integration, design of radio calibration algorithms, chip bringup, and characterization of state-of-the-art wireless SoC products from conception to production.
  • We are looking for an exceptional engineer with experience in designing novel calibration algorithms for wireless systems.
  • Lead validation, bringup and performance characterization of WiFi PHY/Radio systems on emulation, FPGA and real silicon platforms.
  • Design optimal algorithms for calibration of IQ imbalance, DC Offset, LO feed through and other radio impairments in a simulation environment to benchmark performance.
  • Work alongside PHY, FW, RFIC and digital HW designers on efficient implementation of algorithms for both factory tuning and real time operation.
  • Develop and maintain python based pre/post-silicon validation and debug platforms.
  • Develop and implement test plans, collect and analyze test results, identify and debug issues.
