We’re currently seeking a Protection and Secondary Engineer to join our high-performing Applications and Products team. This is more than just a role - it’s a chance to lead regional support efforts, contribute to national projects, and collaborate with a global powerhouse in energy solutions.
Location: Melbourne, Sydney or Adelaide

What you’ll do:
• Partner with clients to understand their needs and craft tailored protection and control solutions
• Deliver hands-on expertise in secondary systems integration and device configuration
• Collaborate with our customer care team to solve complex engineering challenges
• Lead customer training, product updates, and create engaging technical documentation
• Stay on the leading edge of industry trends and emerging technologies
You’ll also have access to exclusive professional development opportunities through the Siemens Power Academy, including both domestic and international training.
What you bring:
You may hold a formal qualification in power systems - or have gained equivalent experience in electrical generation, transmission, or distribution. Either way, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re especially interested in candidates with skills in:
• SIPROTEC 5 platform, including DIGSI 5 software and hardware
• Reyrolle protection devices
• Secondary protection system design and integration (especially in HV transmission, transformer, or rotating plant applications)
• IEC 61850 standards and experience with IEDs, station/process bus design, and modern protocols.
