What Will Your Day Look Like?
You will be working in Digital Industries within Siemens Plc. Reporting into the business Environment, Health & Safety Manager you will support the business in maintaining excellent EHS standards during the delivery of sustainable technology solutions into our wide UK customer base.
The role will be predominantly office based at Sir William Siemens House (Manchester Head office), with occasional home working permitted as part of the company’s flexible working policy. The business has a wide variety of customers and delivers both site installation and maintenance of its’ technologies. The role will therefore require weekly visits to the Cheadle Service Centre, and with experience, occasional visits to customer sites nationwide.
Your role will include:
- Deliver environmental initiatives by supporting eco‑efficient projects that reduce material, energy, water, and land use while maintaining performance.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on carbon neutrality progress and key environmental, health, and safety (EHS) metrics.
- Engage with internal and external customers to communicate EHS initiatives, provide updates, gather feedback, and promote sustainability awareness.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying enhancements to EHS practices and contributing innovative ideas across the organisation.
- Develop EHS competence through hands‑on site activities, record‑keeping, formal training courses, apprenticeship assessments, and supporting the EHS Manager to ensure compliance and role‑model EHS values.

- You will be able to demonstrate self-motivation and the capability to work independently as well as collaboratively to achieve deadlines.
- You should demonstrate excellent communication abilities and possess strong proficiency in information technology skills.
- Additionally, you will have achieved at least 5 GCSE's, grade 4 or above, including Mathematics and English Language.
- A current driving licence is preferred due to the travel requirements of the role, although applications are welcome from those currently in the process of learning to drive.
