Role Overview

The Area Delivery Manager position at PepsiCo in Ladson, South Carolina, reports to the Delivery Director and oversees delivery operations across Ladson, SC; Metter, GA; Beaufort, SC; and Savannah, GA. This full-time role is pivotal in executing operations to enhance service, efficiency, safety, and capability. You will manage 5-7 Delivery Team Leads who supervise frontline Drivers, partnering with GTM, Sales, and Warehouse functions to hit key performance indicators (KPIs) like As Delivered as Scheduled (ADAS), Haul backs, Two-For-One, overtime hours, direct labor cost per case, and DOT Compliance. Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic leadership position, your responsibilities include:

• Leading execution of delivery operations to achieve cost targets and improve service, efficiency, safety, and capability metrics.
• Providing leadership to Delivery Team Leads and Drivers in logistics, distribution, and customer service through effective communication.
• Building strategic customer partnerships to ensure superior service and satisfaction.
• Driving volume, revenue, and KPIs such as ADAS, Haul backs, Two-For-One, total OT hours, direct labor cost per case, and DOT Compliance.
• Directing delivery activities to meet operating and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) commitments.
• Identifying operational improvements, evaluating personnel capabilities, and aligning resources for optimal performance.
• Establishing performance expectations, enhancing employee capabilities via hiring, training, and communication.
• Supporting GTM escalations and providing input on customer service standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed as Area Delivery Manager, candidates need:

• A Bachelor’s degree preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3-6 years of experience in delivery, logistics, and/or transportation, ideally in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry within a Direct Store Delivery (DSD) environment.
• Strong analytical skills for data-driven decisions.
• Demonstrated progressive leadership in safety and DOT compliance.
• Excellent influence management and communication skills to gain buy-in across organizational levels.
