Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diverse tasks including troubleshooting, testing, calibrating, maintaining, installing, and repairing equipment malfunctions in corrosion control areas.
  • Support external and internal corrosion control programs, ensuring proper monitoring, mitigations, and adherence to DOT requirements.
  • Process corrosion data, generate, analyze, and communicate monthly reports; collaborate with business partners to resolve issues promptly.
  • Provide expert guidance and project scoping for corrosion control challenges across the organization.
  • Conduct data integration and analysis for corrosion control testing, evaluating equipment performance and making necessary adjustments.
  • Execute pipeline integrity surveys and deliver company-wide support, including training, standards, and procedure development.
  • Adapt to on-call rotations, after-hours work, nights, weekends, holidays, and travel as needed for troubleshooting and training.

Physical and Environmental Demands

This role requires resilience: work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, and enclosed spaces; lift/carry 50+ lbs; stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat for extended periods; operate at heights using man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and towers with proper PPE; and use hand tools proficiently.

Required Qualifications

  • Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED plus minimum 4 years of related work experience. Preferred: Associates Degree in vocational, technical, or business field.
  • Certifications: Must possess NACE Cathodic Protection (CP) Level I Certification; ability to acquire NACE CIP Level 1 Certification and Operator Qualification (OQ).
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and PC applications; basic knowledge of CFR Parts 192 (Natural Gas) and 195 (Liquid Pipeline) Regulations. For Internal Corrosion: Solid understanding of mitigation methodologies and mechanisms. For External Corrosion: Extensive regulatory knowledge and basic D/C electrical circuits.
  • Other: Valid State Driver’s License with excellent driving record; strong organizational, interpersonal skills; safety as top priority; aptitude for technology to drive efficiency.
