Since 2011, our mission has remained unwavering: stop breaches before they occur. We've redefined security with the world's most advanced AI-native platform, the Falcon platform, which delivers cloud-native protection across endpoints, cloud workloads, identity, and data. Our customers span every industry, relying on CrowdStrike to keep businesses running, communities safe, and lives moving forward. As a mission-driven company, we foster a remote-first culture that empowers every CrowdStriker with flexibility and autonomy to own their careers. We're passionate about innovation, customer success, and building a community of relentless performers.
The Assistant General Counsel, Information Governance is a senior legal role reporting to CrowdStrike's privacy leadership. This position is remote in the United States, with a preference for East Coast candidates who can collaborate seamlessly with U.S. and EU teams. Distinct from traditional privacy or litigation roles, this high-impact position focuses on information governance, data governance, and AI governance. You'll provide practical, risk-based legal advice in a complex global SaaS environment, partnering with Engineering, Data Science, IT, GRC, and Legal teams. Translate emerging regulations into scalable practices for a Fortune 500 technology powerhouse. With a salary range of $210,000 - $330,000 USD per year, this role offers premium compensation and the chance to shape governance at the forefront of cybersecurity.
In this role, you'll serve as CrowdStrike's legal leader for information governance, delivering advice grounded in technology, business context, and strong legal judgment.
Work directly with Product Legal to advise engineering and data science teams on AI governance, covering data usage, model development, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management. Navigate emerging global AI frameworks, accountability, and risk management to operationalize requirements that fuel innovation and customer trust.
Guide stakeholders on data classification, retention, access controls, and responsible information use. Support IT, GRC, and Engineering with legal insights on system design and data flows. Assess risks in enterprise systems and craft defensible mitigation strategies, including law enforcement request handling.
Draft and maintain clear, operationally viable governance documentation aligned with legal, regulatory, and certification standards for a large global tech company.
Advise on governance for security, privacy, data sovereignty, and AI certifications. Partner with GRC, Security, and Privacy to design auditable controls and support assessments.
Align guidance across Legal functions and navigate matrixed governance channels to build trusted relationships company-wide.
Ideal candidates bring a J.D. or equivalent, with substantial experience in information, data, or AI governance law. Deep technical fluency in AI systems, data platforms, and SaaS operations is essential, alongside proven ability to deliver practical advice in fast-paced tech environments. Strong judgment, matrixed collaboration skills, and familiarity with global regulations (e.g., AI accountability frameworks, data sovereignty) are key. U.S.-based remote candidates, especially on the East Coast, preferred for effective U.S./EU collaboration. Experience in cybersecurity or Fortune 500 tech is a plus.
CrowdStrike offers a premium total rewards package, including a competitive salary of $210,000 - $330,000 USD annually. Enjoy fully remote work with our remote-first culture, comprehensive health benefits, unlimited PTO, and stock options. Access professional development, wellness programs, and tools to thrive. At CrowdStrike, career ownership is core to our culture. This role provides visibility to executive leadership and cross-functional exposure, positioning you for advancement in legal, governance, or product leadership.
