The Associate Director, HIV Community Liaison Marketing, plays a pivotal role within Gilead's HIV Franchise Marketing team. Reporting to the Senior Director of HIV Franchise Community Marketing, this position leads the development and maintenance of Community Liaison (CL) resources. Responsibilities include crafting marketing tactics, coordinating field events like community gatherings and conferences, optimizing digital tools for reporting, and spearheading field communications. The role also supports strategic initiatives, such as annual planning, and contributes to 'status neutral' efforts boosting both treatment and prevention markets in HIV. In this leadership position, you will drive the execution of core CL branded and unbranded tactics by managing external agencies, internal partners, brand marketing, and the CL team. Secure approvals for marketing materials through rigorous internal reviews, including management and Med-Legal-Reg processes, followed by final production. Lead field communications and trainings to equip teams with essential tools.
Collaborate across internal and external partners to distribute marketing materials via Gilead's digital and print systems. Meet regularly with brand marketing, field leadership, and Commercial Learning & Development to align strategies and sustain field efforts. Support National Sales Meetings, Regional Meetings, and Launch Meetings as needed.
Leverage data analytics to identify market and brand growth opportunities, providing actionable recommendations and leading implementation. Monitor industry trends, competitive practices, and internal market research to inform strategic decisions, enhancing Gilead's leadership in HIV treatment and prevention.
Basic qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree with ten years of experience, a Master's Degree with eight years, or a PhD with two years. Preferred candidates bring eight years of professional experience, including five years in marketing, ideally in HIV treatment or prevention. A Bachelor's in marketing or related field is required, with familiarity in marketing fundamentals, strategy, sales, and commercial policies.
Prior experience as a Community Liaison or Field Sales is highly desired, alongside an MBA or advanced degree in business or public health. HIV-specific experience and relationships are preferred, as is a demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements impacting marketing materials. Key competencies include working with agencies (advertising, PR, medical education), strong communication skills, adaptability in fast-paced environments, and teamwork.
