Role Overview

As a Lead Material Processor (Receiving), you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the receiving department. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting supervisors in training and developing team members.
  • Monitoring production performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensuring production and quality controls are met.
  • Adhering to work instructions for the area of responsibility.
  • Working with shop floor systems (CVision, Oracle, Unit Tracker, Great Plains, Ghost).
  • Participating in daily stand-up meetings with the Supervisor.
  • Participating in internal and external customer or vendor meetings.
  • Reallocating resources (people/supplies/products etc.) as needed to meet customer goals.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure proper workflow.
  • Serving as a point of contact for employees and handling escalation issues.
  • Working with Engineering to identify and resolve process issues.
  • Tracking and maintaining daily attendance rosters.
  • Participating in 6S audits.
  • Performing on-the-job (OJT) refresher training.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and KPI/SLA performance.
  • Compiling and analyzing data.
  • Completing daily reports.
  • Training and coaching associates as needed.

A Day in the Life of a Lead Material Processor (Receiving)

  • Participate with the 6S Audit team on monthly 6S audits.

  • Perform on-the-job (OJT) refresher training and workstation assessments.
  • Monitor inventory levels (WIP Aging) for specific area of responsibility.
