Privacy Counsel, LATAM - Buenos Aires

Role Overview

Assurant is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Privacy Counsel to join our Legal team in Buenos Aires, Argentina. As Privacy Counsel, you will play a critical role in ensuring that Assurant's data processing activities comply with applicable privacy laws and regulations, particularly in the Latin American region. You will provide pragmatic, risk-based legal guidance to support business objectives while mitigating regulatory, reputational, and operational risk related to personal data processing.

This position is responsible for partnering with the Lead Privacy Counsel and Organization Privacy Officers to draft, review, and negotiate data processing agreements, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies governing the collection, use, sharing, and protection of personal data. You will collaborate closely with Legal, Compliance, Information Security, IT, People Organization, and business stakeholders to embed privacy-by-design principles into business processes, products, and technologies.
