AT&T’s Guarantee requires improved network reliability.   Network Transformation initiatives like Artemis and e911 TDM to IP based migrations require network reliability too.  Network reliability is in our wheelhouse!  DART audits our networks to identify network diversity/reliability issues that pose a risk of causing an outage.    We then partner with AT&T teams responsible for building and maintaining these networks to develop effective solutions for mitigating these risks.  In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal Network CTO teams, network supporting organizations, and external partners to ensure our current and future networks are built to be diverse, reliable, and resilient.

What You'll Do:

AT&T is looking for a Principal Member of Technical Staff on our Network Analytics & Automation Team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of our innovative DART platform, leveraging a diverse technology stack to support strategic company initiatives focused on network resilience.  You bring experience of developing and maintaining complex systems, data analytics, transport networks, and security adherence.  

  • Hands on development for innovative solutions to audit networks for diversity 
  • Use GenAI to enhance and expand a robust Diverse Network Route Engine 
  • Data Analytics to assess and make transport network data consumable 
  • Ensure adherence to software and security standards 
  • Collaborate with strategic partners on Network Transformation programs 

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience with SQL, HTML, Power BI, Java, Spring, Hibernate framework, Oracle Database, Eclipse/Intelli J, Apache, Tomcat, Python.
  • Ability to extraction data from various data sources (Snowflake, Oracle, Palantir/DEEP).
  • Use CI/CD tools and manage configurations.
  • Infrastructure Support: Linux/Windows/FlexCloud (Azure configuration knowledge is a plus).
  • Experience using GenAI (i.e. LLM, RAG, Scikit-learn/TensorFlow/PyTorch, Agentic AI, machine learning for efficient backend analytics and processing)  
  • Lead system security standards adherence and remediation.
  • Enthusiasm to deliver innovative solutions to make AT&T’s networks more resilient 

What You’ll Need:

  • PhD in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or Masters in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or a Bachelors in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience supporting Network systems (Infrastructure, Software, Security) 
  • Knowledge of Network Inventory Systems, and Transport and Core (Mobility/RAN) Networks 
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve

Preferred Education:

  • PhD in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Telecom, or similar STEM degree

Our Principal Member of Technical Staff earns between $180,200 - $270,400 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
