AT&T has an opening for a Senior Level (SME) Acquisitions Strategist to support the Department of State in Washington, D.C. on contract charged with performing and implementing the customer’s acquisition strategies, ensuring alignment of organizational goals, and guidance within the regulatory requirements.

This role requires a deep understanding of contracting principles, a mastery of structuring contracts to be flexible, spawn innovations, and adaptability over time and with growth of the organization. Must be proficient in acquisition strategy development, clear use of and understanding of the product development life cycle inclusive of agile methodologies, and have comprehensive knowledge of the federal acquisition regulations (FAR) or other relevant governing procurement and contracting regulatory requirements.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program managers, legal advisors, and technical experts, to align acquisition strategies with mission objectives.
  • Risk Management: Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with modular contracting and product development.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Skilled in conducting market research to identify industry trends, vendor capabilities, and innovative contracting approaches.

Operational Skills

  • Negotiation and Vendor Management: Demonstrated ability to negotiate favorable terms and manage vendor relationships to ensure contract performance and accountability.
  • Performance Metrics Development: Experience in establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate contract success and product development outcomes.
  • Cost Analysis and Budgeting: Proficiency in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis to optimize contract value and resource allocation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience in federal acquisitions, contracting, or procurement, with a focus on modular contracting and product development.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), or DAWIA certification in Contracting, Federal Acquisition Institute (FAI) Contracting Officers Representative (COR).

Our Senior Level (SME) Acquisitions Strategist's earn between $89,200 - $205,000. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
