Responsible for selection, management, and negotiation with suppliers to procure transport/access services at the best value/ lowest total cost of ownership based on the evolving network requirements. Manages activities to maintain working relationships with suppliers. Negotiates and manages contractual terms and conditions. Actively works with various internal stakeholders for implementation and performance management of the procured transport solution.
Overall Purpose: Leads and optimizes the sourcing of technical products and services, ensuring cost-effective procurement, quality, and compliance with industry standards to support organizational objectives.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Quality Assurance: Ensure third-party suppliers consistently deliver top-tier performance in both provisioning and assurance. Our goal is to provide AT&T and our end-user customers with the highest quality and most reliable service.
• Dynamic Engagement: Act as a proactive liaison, fostering collaboration between internal teams, carrier partners, and our end-user customers. Step in decisively when needed to maintain alignment and momentum.
• Tools & Process Development: Foster an open, collaborative environment where ideas flow freely. Champion innovation and continuous improvement with a positive, can-do attitude to strengthen the Carrier Performance Team. Drive efficiency and build stronger partnerships by enhancing processes and leveraging shared insights.

• Performance Monitoring and Client Satisfaction: Track key performance indicators (KPIs), ensure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements, and use client satisfaction surveys and project monitoring to resolve issues and measure success.
• Supplier Relationship Management and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with technical suppliers, oversee supplier performance evaluations, partner with other business units to align sourcing activities with business objectives, and advise upper management on contractual rights and obligations.
• Operational Efficiency and Transformation: Implement continuous improvement initiatives, manage activities to enhance operational efficiency, and execute transformation/optimization projects to support evolving network requirements and critical program objectives.
• Strategic Sourcing and Procurement: Lead and oversee strategic technical sourcing initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, cost-effectiveness, and quality standards through supplier rationalization and selection.
• Contract Negotiation and Compliance: Prepare, negotiate, accept, and manage commercial contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements, and monitor agreements to protect AT&T.
Job Contribution: Oversees operational aspects of the department, focusing on the day-to-day management of related initiatives. This role is primarily concerned with the implementation and execution of strategies developed by higher management. Typically leads entry-level and career-level staff within the organization. Responsible for influencing decisions regarding the hiring, firing, disciplinary action, promotional activity, and pay decisions for subordinates. Supervisor: Yes
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 5+ years of related experience.
Our Senior Technical Sourcing Managers, earn between $85,700.00-$128,500.00 USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
