Job Title: Specialist Quality Engineering

Job Summary: This position is responsible for performing all functions involved in quality assurance and test execution for new application functionality and interfaces. The role requires good experience and provides deep technical expertise and knowledge. 

  

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design, develop, and analyze test plans and strategies using advanced testing techniques. 

• Write and execute test cases and troubleshoot defects for applications. 

• Develop integrated testing solutions that include cross dependencies between organizations and programs. 

• Utilize architectural skills to develop data and environment strategies that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs. 

• Perform End-to-End (E2E) testing, encompassing the entire customer experience, including sales, ordering, provisioning, activation, billing, payment processing, and customer service. 

• Conduct integrated IT/Network tests to ensure services function correctly, are billed properly, and issues can be resolved or managed. 

 Qualification 

• Preferred bachelor’s degree in information systems technology, Computer Science, or Engineering; Developer nanodegree, or equivalent experience. 

• Typically requires 4+ years of experience. 
• 2+ years experience in automation testing and awareness of automation methodologies
• 2+ years experience in automation testing and awareness in API (Microservices / Webservices)
• In depth knowledge of automation tools (Selenium, Robot Test Automation framework, Ginger or any other automation tool).
• 2+ years experience in combinations of: Java Testing or any other relevant automation framework
• Hands-on experience working on at least one relevant tool.
• Telecommunication experience/knowledge.
• Having knowledge in ordering and billing domain specifically in Retail consumer business is an advantage.
• Amdocs business and cross-portfolio knowledge – an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of application architecture design and technology.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools, Jenkins, Git, Docker extended to Cloud monitoring tools
• Knowledge of Kafka and experience of Microservices testing is added advantage
• Having Agile methodology, DevOps knowledge will give extra advantage
• Develops coding automation scripts and automation utilities to be implemented and executed in alignment with the defined scope.
• Selects and applies appropriate structural design techniques to ensure that tests provide an adequate level of coverage.
• Liaisons with technical peers (e.g., developers, architects, operations engineers) for RCA of technical issues and bottlenecks.
• Works closely with peers and leads to resolve technical queries and ensures RCA for all problems for his/her scope of work.
• Designs and reviews test cases and scenarios.
• Executes test cases, determines full coverage of test scenarios in accordance with plans.
• Provides recommendations for resolution of issues and proposes improvements to the code, system optimization and architecture (e.g., introducing specific types of test automation, contributing to the selection of appropriate tools to automate technical testing tasks).
• Creates documentation, test ware and work products used in testing activities.
• Ensures highest quality documentation for requirement traceability and correctness and ensures compliance with system requirements and specifications, internal standards, and clients' needs.
• Effectively participates in and/or leads formal knowledge transfer and informal reviews with peers/stakeholders.
