However, maintain a professional commitment to your duties without becoming overly rigid or stressed.;
  • Assertiveness and Proactiveness: The willingness to take initiative, be assertive, and not be afraid to reach out to internal and external parties directly via phone or in person, rather than relying solely on email.;
  • Writing skills: Excellent command of written communication is essential.;
  • Time management and prioritization: Given the responsibility for multiple countries and entities, the ability to manage diverse tasks and projects, each with its own timeline, is critical. Must ensure projects are completed efficiently and deadlines are met.;
  • Task ownership: Must maintain full control and awareness of all pending tasks and projects at all times.;
  • Responsiveness: Commitment to providing timely responses to all emails and requests.;
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is considered a plus, albeit not a must. However, analytical aptitude is important: a foundational ability to grasp numerical concepts and journal entries is needed for the tax accounting component of the role. While specific tax accounting experience can be trained, a feel for numbers is definitely necessary.;
  • Ability to travel (max. 10%) within the region and overseas;
  •  Fluency in English (written and verbal) required; proficiency in German or Dutch a plus.
