Responsibilities:

  • Reinsurance Pricing & Quotation Support
    • Review requests for proposal and assess business opportunities.
    • Collaborate with Underwriting and Business Development to provide expert recommendations on product features, underwriting rules, and reinsurance structures tailored to client requirements.
    • Formulate pricing assumptions leveraging internal experience, market research, and advanced data analytics.
    • Ensure financial projections align with AXA’s minimum profitability and risk standards.
    • Prepare and document product specifications, pricing assumptions, and actuarial models, and obtain necessary internal approvals.
    • Assist in drafting treaty documentation and coordinating approvals with Legal and Compliance teams.

  • Experience Study & Related Contributions
    • Contribute to experience studies, optimize coding processes, and engage in research initiatives to improve pricing precision.
    • Provide second opinions and insights on CI product launched by other AXA entities.
    • Contribute to ad-hoc projects aimed at improving pricing efficiency and market competitiveness.

  • Pricing Model Development
    • Design and maintain pricing bases and actuarial models for Critical Illness and other protection products across multiple markets supported by AXA RI Hub.
    • Incorporate market-specific assumptions and regulatory requirements into pricing frameworks.

  • Client & Product Development Support
    • Work closely with Business Development teams to deliver tailored solutions for clients.
    • Support product development initiatives for AXA entities and external insurers, ensuring competitive and sustainable pricing strategies.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics or a related field.
  • Progress toward actuarial certification with the Society of Actuaries or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in life (re)insurance (i.e. pricing or valuation) is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of Medical and Critical Illness insurance products is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Innovative, self-motivated, and results-oriented with a focus on practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively across diverse teams.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Mandarin and English speaking is a plus.

Salary

360,000 - 600,000 HKD / yearly
