Responsibilities:

• Product Development
  • Product Ideas
    • Work with Business Development, Pricing, Underwriting, Claims and Chief Medical Officer to identify new product concepts, and develop them into concrete product design, for China and SEA reinsurance market.
    • Support new product ideas pitching to clients and create solutions to fit client’s proposition, budget and risk appetite.
  • Pricing for New Product Ideas
    • Research and derive new product features pricing assumptions.
    • Support data analysis project to develop new pricing basis, enhance existing pricing basis and identify new product ideas.
• Support reinsurance quotations with new product features
• • Review requests for proposal and assess business opportunities, especially those requiring new product features or markets that lack existing pricing basis
  • Support UW and Business Development to provide recommendations in product features, UW rules and reinsurance structures to clients
  • Derive pricing assumptions based on in-house experience, research and data analysis
  • Ensure financials can meet AXA’s minimum requirement
  • Document product details, pricing assumptions and financials and obtain approvals
  • Support colleagues to draft treaties and obtain approval from Legal and Compliance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or related.
• Some progress in Actuarial examinations of the Society of Actuaries or equivalent.
• Prior experience in the Life Insurance industry, pricing or reinsurance or product development is a plus.
• Knowledge of Medical and Critical Illness business, and distribution channels in China and SEA market is preferred.
• Highly organized, delivery-orientated with the ability to work with multiple concurrent projects.
• Innovative, highly motivated, results oriented and solutions focused.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Good command of business Chinese and English, both in written and spoken form. Fluency in Mandarin speaking is a plus.
