AI Governance Support Analyst

full-timePosted: Jan 7, 2026

Job Description

Job ID: 13528

Entity: AXA UK

Are you organised, proactive, and passionate about responsible AI? We’re looking for an AI Governance Support Analyst to join our expanding AI Governance and Ethics team. Reporting directly to the Head of AI Governance and Ethics, you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth operational governance of our AI use cases, managing key processes within the AI Hub, and helping us uphold the highest standards of compliance and integrity. If you’re detail oriented with a keen eye for process and enjoy working collaboratively across risk, data privacy, security, and architecture teams, this could be the perfect opportunity for you to make a real impact in shaping our responsible AI journey.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage and maintain comprehensive records of all AI use cases within the AI Hub, ensuring governance steps are followed and documented accurately.
  • Build and update inventories of AI-related risks, mitigation plans, and linking these to the model library and AI system inventory.
  • Support operational activities by tracking use case progress, collecting compliance evidence, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Compile regular reports and dashboards on AI governance and risk and preparing updates for governance committees.
  • Assist with audit actions and remedial activities to ensure timely resolution and compliance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across risk, data privacy, security, architecture, and third-party teams to ensure effective governance and alignment.
  • Help to improve and maintain governance processes, documentation, templates, and the AI Governance SharePoint site.
  • Support vendor risk assessments and audit management processes alongside the Senior Business Analyst.

Due to the number of applications we expect to receive for this role, we reserve the right to close this advert earlier than the listed closing date to ensure we’re able to effectively manage interest. Therefore, if you’re interested in joining us at AXA, please don’t hesitate to apply.

What you’ll bring:

  • Organisational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Inquisitive, analytical mindset, capable of gathering, synthesising, and interpreting information from various sources.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and comprehensive documentation.
  • Ability to present governance information clearly and confidently to diverse stakeholders.
  • Understanding of governance, risk, and compliance processes; experience in AI, data, or technology governance is an advantage.
  • Collaborative team player who is comfortable working across functions and building strong relationships with colleagues at all levels.
  • Experience with knowledge management and collaboration tools, such as SharePoint, is desirable.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.

What we offer:

At AXA UK, we’re appreciative of the people who work for us and our rewards package is reviewed regularly to reflect that. You can expect to receive:

  • Competitive annual salary of up to £45,000 dependent on experience
  • Annual company & performance-based bonus
