Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Sourcing & Category Management:

  • Support the Procurement Manager to develop and execute sourcing strategies for Non-IT categories to deliver cost savings and value creation.
  • Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and supplier evaluations to ensure competitive advantage.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance to meet business objectives.
  • Prepare tendering, bidding negotiation, tender evaluation and contract review to support the sourcing events.

 

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with internal business units to understand requirements and align procurement strategies.
  • Present sourcing strategies and recommendations to senior management effectively.
  • To build partnership with Group and Local Business and Functions to ensure Procurement’s appropriate involvement in selection and negotiations with suppliers.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and innovation.
  • Monitor supplier compliance with contractual obligations and service-level agreements.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Utilize multiple data sources to perform spend analysis, identify trends, and support decision-making.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management on procurement performance and initiatives.

Risk & Compliance Management:

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards in procurement activities.
  • Support AXA’s Sustainable and Inclusive Procurement for ESG and Diversity & Inclusion.
  • Conduct required due diligences during the tender and post-tender stage.

Other contributions:

  • Contribute to HK Savings Targets (both Cost Reduction and Cost Avoidance), Minimum Control Procurement Framework (MCPF) and Vendor Risk Framework compliance (VRF).
  • Procurement’s reporting and savings tracking.
  • Procurement process education to stakeholders.
  • Explore procurement process digitization and improvement opportunities.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) are an advantage
  • 5-8 years of experience in procurement (less experience can consider as Senior Officer role)
  • Ideally have experiences within the insurance/financial/government services industry (not a must)
  • Ability to manage stress gracefully and multi-task within restricted time constrains
  • Strong negotiation skills and supplier relationship management skills
  • Attention to detail and investigative and questioning nature
  • Diplomatic, agile, resilience and excellent interpersonal skill – can work well with all levels of people
  • Ethical and strong integrity
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • High sense of ownership, risk awareness, compliance and process efficiency
  • Good team player and able to work independently as self-starter
  • Strong influential skill and ability to manage complex business environment and issues
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., Coupa, SAP, Oracle, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office Suite
