Responsibilities:

 

 

Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Chief Compliance officer to establish, review and monitor the internal compliance control for adherence to the relevant local regulatory requirements and Group Standards of Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC).
  1. Provide ABC related advice to business units to ensure that they are in full compliance with local, Group and regulatory requirements
  2. Provide compliance advice on ABC related projects and business initiatives
  3. Conduct compliance reviews and monitoring on ABC to ensure relevant policy and procedures are in place and effective
  4. Review and update ABC compliance training materials and provide related trainings to staff
  • Ensuring staff and insurance intermediaries follow the data privacy requirements, outsourcing requirements, FATCA/CRS requirements.
  1. Provide sound and practical advice to the business units and distribution channels in relation to data privacy, FATCA/CRS and outsourcing as required by local regulations and Group Standards
  2. Perform Data privacy impact assessments and AI assessments
  3. Manage data deletion in collaboration with data team
  4. Communicate / train staff and distributors on the regulatory and ethical standards of data privacy and FATCA/CRS
  5. Support AI initiatives and provide advice from compliance perspective, ensure Group requirements on AI Compliance are observed and complied with
  6. Manage the monitoring of the outsourcing activities according to the Insurance Authority’s Guideline and Group Standard
  • Reviewing and updating policies and procedures in relation to ABC, privacy, FATCA/ CRS and outsourcing to reflect changes made by regulators and Group Compliance.
  • Performing annual compliance risk assessments for data privacy, AI, outsourcing and ABC, and conducting compliance testing as the second line of defence, mainly data privacy and key compliance risk areas.
  • Participating in projects (eg. PIPL implementation, re-domicile, data deletion etc.) and provide advice from compliance perspective.
  • Preparing management information/report for regular submission to management, Group Compliance and regulators.
  • Assisting in Group and regulatory inspections and reviews as relevant and ensuring actions plans are completed on time.
  • Managing and responding to regulators’ enquiries regarding ABC, privacy matters and FATCA/ CRS.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • University graduate
  • 8-10 years experience in compliance of insurance industry
  • Sound knowledge of ABC, privacy, AI and FATCA/ CRS requirements, compliance processes and regulatory requirements
  • Strong training skills
  • Has confidence and maturity to communicate and deal with regulators, management, internal customers (operation, distribution channels and marketing, etc.) and Group/Regional counterparts
  • Good management skills to motivate the team to deliver excellent results
