Job ID: 250005ZU

Entity: AXA Ireland

We are seeking a highly experienced IFC Implementation Lead to spearhead the successful rollout of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) process across AXA Ireland.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end implementation project, ensuring that all activities are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and executing detailed project plans, coordinating cross-functional teams, and managing dependencies to achieve seamless compliance with IFRS requirements.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work majority of your week away from home. Away from home means either attendance at one of our head office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you’ll be doing:

·       Lead the end-to-end implementation of the IFRS process, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones within scope and budget.

·       Manage stakeholder communication, providing regular updates on project progress, risks, issues, and next steps to management and relevant teams.

·       Define team structure, resource requirements, and oversee activities for both project delivery and ongoing BAU support.

·       Support process design, process mapping, and IFRS scoping analysis, including risk identification and control implementation.

·       Oversee testing, controls effectiveness, system updates, and integration of IFRS into existing IT systems.

·       Develop training programs and manage change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption across the organisation.

·       Monitor deficiencies, work with control owners on remediation, and provide regular governance and reporting updates to senior management and auditors.

·       Manage resources to achieve financial targets, oversee budgeting, forecasting, and ensure project expenditures stay within delegated authorities.

·       Over 7 years of work experience within financial services, preferably within a finance function.

·       3-5 years of management experience, including coaching, mentoring, and developing diverse operational finance teams.

·       Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, ACA, or CFA are preferred.

·       Proven track record of managing complex finance and multi-functional projects, utilising structured project methodologies.

·       Demonstrated experience in IFRS implementation or financial reporting transformation projects.

·       Strong understanding of financial controls, risk management, audit processes, and familiarity with finance IT systems like SCALA.

·       Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

This role is a CF1 role under Fitness & Probity Regime, which means the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced level of background screening requirements. You can find more information on axa.ie/careers.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorized to work in Ireland and/or the United Kingdom.
