Within the Group, you will join the Group Risk Management department under the responsibility of AXA Group Head of Internal Control. 
The Global internal control framework aims to improve risk understanding and reduce operational risks. It should drive targeted actions to mitigate risks in line with the risk appetite framework.   

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSABILITIES:

Within this Department, you will be part of the AXA SA Operational Risk & Internal Control team reporting to Operational Risk & Internal Control Manager, in charge of monitoring AXA SA and GIE AXA operational risks and provide assurance on internal control framework effectiveness to the management.

As Internal Controller you will support the implementation and maintenance of the internal control framework across AXA SA and GIE AXA. Reporting to the Operational Risk & Internal Control Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the maintenance and continuous improvement of the AXA SA and GIE AXA risk and control framework, ensuring key controls are defined, documented, and monitored.
• • Providing support to 1st line managers to design and operate controls mitigating material operational risks
  • Performing internal control testing activities, including design and operating effectiveness assessments, ensuring controls are appropriately documented and functioning as intended.
  • Delivering adequate reporting on identified control deficiencies to ensure appropriate actions are engaged and followed up to resolution
  • Assisting in the review of operational and information risks, contributing to risk assessment processes and the development of mitigation plans.

• Collaborating with other assurance functions as compliance and internal audit, sharing information, coordinating assurance reviews for an efficient and lean internal control system
• Promoting awareness of operational risk and control within the organization, supporting the embedding of a risk-aware culture.

YOUR PROFILE-      

Technical and professional skills

• Master’s degree (BAC+5) in Business Administration, Finance, Audit, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in risk management, control, or audit within financial services, insurance, or reinsurance sectors.

• Understanding of insurance/reinsurance business processes, and internal control frameworks—including second-line controls.

• Project management capacities
• Understanding of Technology and  IT risks
• Excellent command of English (minimum B2 level), with French language skills considered a plus.

Soft skills

• Demonstrated reliability and attention to detail, with a track record of delivering high-quality work on time.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in diverse teams.
• Proficient writing and delivery of clear presentations, documentation
• Ability to build strong relationships across various functional domains and levels of management, as well as with auditors and regulators.
