Context

Within AXA Belgium, the IT Relationship department is responsible for the day-to-day management, security, technical and functional evolution of the Relationship insurance applications and systems for our employees, customers and brokers.   

The IT Customer, Distributor and Data department is seeking to appoint an IT Product Lead, taking care of around 27 applications either based on the Microsoft Dynamics technology or on the Selligent technology.

 

The challenge

Your responsibilities as IT Product Lead :

  • As a leader and coach of the team, you make sure the team composition ensures a good knowledge to maintain and extend the applications within the Customer and Distributor domain, including quality of service and security compliance of our already running applications.
  • Act as IT Product Owner and  organise the backlog of the team, including :
    • The maintenance activities touching the products under ownership of the team: bug fixing, evergreen upgrades, security updates and fixes, performance and resilience improvements, production monitoring, incidents resolution, …
    • The impacts due to peripherical initiatives or BAU demands impacting the products under ownership of the team
  • Advise business stakeholders by providing product insights and recommendations to support informed prioritization and strategic decisions.You organise and coach a team of around 15 people (internals, contractors, and offshore partners) to grow to a higher level of maturity year after year, in a way the team can maintain the products (applications and services) in BAU mode
  • Apart from managing your direct team you also will need to coordinate the different experts who contribute to your initiatives, such as business and IT Epic/Project managers, architects and security specialists. It is essential that you nurture an extended network that will facilitate the exchanges with other teams and ultimately the removal of impediments.
  • Manage product budgets, track financial execution, ensure cost efficiency and collaborate with finance teams to forecast spendings
  • You will report back to your IT Feature manager, IT management and business stakeholders and sponsors.

Your skills and experience:

  • At least 10 years of experience in IT team management - expertise in different project and operations delivery practices such as scaled agile, ITIL and waterfall 
  • You have experience in application management activities, with good understanding of the business context and objectives.
  • You have a good overview of the different technological components in modern IT (Cloud, AWS/Azure, Security principles).
  • Knowledge of one of the two national languages and English (knowledge of the second national language is a major asset).
  • Experience in the insurance sector is an asset.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and Power Platform are a plus.
