Job position pitch

As part of AXA's strategy to become a tech-led organization and advance our Digital Transformation journey through the “One Network” initiative, Network Global Products are adopting a more simplified, flexible, scalable, and business-oriented approach. This transformation involves consolidating multiple network infrastructures into a single, resilient, efficient, and automated network that can be centrally managed, providing a seamless experience across geographies.

While supporting the strategic migration of applications to the cloud, this evolution enhances AXA's ability to respond swiftly to market dynamics, ensuring high service quality, operational efficiency, and a robust security posture. Concurrently, AXA will maintain its existing on-premises legacy data center infrastructure, focusing on reducing technical debt and transforming its core IT footprint.

Within this context, our Data Center and Cloud Network engineers are instrumental in designing, engineering, delivering, and supporting products and services that significantly contribute to the success of the One Network program.

Our Azure Cloud Network engineers play a key role in supporting AXA’s “Move to the Cloud” strategy.

About the job

Main missions

Your responsibilities include:

• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure virtual network, based on VWAN and Hub & Spoke architecture.
• Troubleshoot and support Azure virtual private network to ensure high application performance and availability.
• Develop documentation for low-level designs, configurations, migration plans, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with teams to gather requirements, support projects, and ensure security and scalability.
• Participate in capacity planning, performance tuning, and resilience strategies.
• Implement upgrade and patching roadmaps and disaster recovery plans.
• Support team knowledge sharing and documentation updates.
• As an Azure Network Expert, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security posture of Azure network environments. You will collaborate with clients to design, implement, and optimize secure network architectures tailored to their unique needs.

Focus on the mission and expectations:

• Ensure reliable, secure operation of AXA’s Azure virtual network infrastructure.
• Lead migration projects with minimal service impact, supporting digital transformation ambitions.
• Enable rapid incident response and troubleshooting during migration and day-to-day operations.
• Promote continuous improvement through documentation, knowledge sharing, and best practices.
• Support scalability and resilience of Azure network infrastructure for future growth.

Expected skills & experience

We are looking for someone with the following experience and skills:

Experience

• University degree (engineering) with +8 years’ experience in Network Domain within an international and matrix organization
• Deep expertise in IP routing protocols, with a focus on BGP
• Proven experience deploying Azure network architectures, including VWAN, Express Route, NVA, DNS, Private Links, VNET, Network Security Groups, Network load balancers
• DevOps Environments : Terraform Enterprise, GitHub
• Creation of Terraform modules
• Develop Python scripts
• Usage and development of REST API
• Additional competencies: Knowledge of Azure functions, VNET integration, ARM, RBAC/Identity
• Valuable certifications: Microsoft certifications (AZ-700 and related Azure networking), Traditional Network (Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCIE…), Network Security (CISSP, Palo Alto, …)

Soft skills / transversal skills

• Fluent in English with strong professional communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong experience in driving large architecture, standardization & transformation initiatives
• Deep expertise in network and cloud design patterns and IT infrastructure best practices
• Strong understanding of current network and infrastructure challenges and trends at both the infrastructure and technical levels
• Demonstrates a commitment to high-quality deliverables and the ability to operate under tight timelines
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders
• Proficient in technical documentation (Confluence), and documentation governance
• Design and implement robust network solutions leveraging Azure-native tools and third-party integrations, with emphasis on security and reliability.
• Develop and enforce network design templates, and best practices aligned with industry standards and compliance requirements
