MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The role will be responsible for developing the strategy and managing the implementation of such to grow the General Insurance (GI) product line/category by working with and influencing different business units including Marketing, Distribution & Operations.

The role will also be responsible for managing the propositions development for GI category.

  • Formulate and implement marketing programs promoting the GI category that will deliver revenue and attract new customers.
  • Maximize internal and external resources to deliver compelling marketing programs that could include offline and online collaterals, advertising, PR, sales toolkits and training.
  • Work with various groups (advertising agencies, PR agency, outsourced vendors, etc) and marketing colleagues to execute marketing plans.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Strategy and Category Management

o Set and revise/revisit, together with stakeholders, the overall business strategy for growing and sustaining the GI product category

o Ensure translation of category strategies into brand, product and distribution tactical initiatives with respective responsible business units

o Drive category awareness by creating communications strategy across target customer segments by working with Brand & Communications team including

  • Overseeing all GI-related communications for customers & distributors

o Influence desired sales process (across digital platforms) and customer journey for retail GI by working with relevant units – Distribution, CEX, Operations, Digital team, front-line

o Provide strategic input/direction for development of channel/distribution and operations strategies in line with business requirements

  • Propositions Development

o Conceptualize relevant customer propositions

  • Oversee research of customer preferences, competitor offerings and AXA’s position and performance
  • Identify and address gaps in customer needs

o Develop marketing plan, coordinate execution with marketing, channels

o Ensure complete GI portfolio across customer segments & needs

o Work with product development and pricing team by providing direction on customer and distributor key considerations

  • Graduate/ Post-Graduate in business management and other related courses
  • Insurance Risk Management/ Product Management Qualifications will be an advantage
  • Minimum 3 years of experience or exposure to Non-Life Insurance Industry, proven track record in either product, marketing or sales management, having set-up/ managed a business line
  • Experience in GI promotion, service development/delivery
  • With understanding of Non-Life Insurance products in the market
  • Proven experience in brand development, business development an advantage
  • GI background an advantage
  • Brand management experience an advantage
  • With network in non-life insurance industry an advantage
