MAIN PURPOSE

OF THE JOB:

The Technical Analysis Officer is responsible for developing portfolio monitoring capabilities to optimize pricing, risk selection, and portfolio management. This role will play a key part in the company’s efforts to leverage data and analytics to achieve underwriting profitability.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

·         Conduct comprehensive studies of the Non-Motor general insurance portfolio, including profitability analysis, risk analysis, and trend analysis.

·         Develop and implement analytical tools and models to assess portfolio risk, pricing adequacy, and profitability.

·         Develop and implement pricing strategies for various Non-Motor lines of business based on risk assessment, market trends, and regulatory requirements.

·         Partner with underwriters, actuaries, and claim managers to identify portfolio trends, detect underwriting issues, and develop data-driven solutions to ensure alignment with portfolio strategies.

·         Project future portfolio performance and revenues using financial modeling techniques.

·         Communicate complex analytical findings to underwriting and business stakeholders clearly and concisely.

·         Identify emerging trends and risks within the Non-Motor insurance market and assess their potential impact on the portfolio.

·         Stay current on industry trends in Non-Motor insurance underwriting analytics and identify opportunities to implement new technologies.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.

·         Minimum 3-5 years of experience in insurance analytics or a related field.

·         Experience with financial modeling and forecasting techniques.

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
