We are seeking a highly motivated Underwriting Assistant to join our General Property team. This role is essential to supporting the underwriting lifecycle; from submission through issuance, while ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our underwriting operations. You’ll work closely with underwriters and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality service and technical expertise.

What you’ll be doing

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Provide critical support to underwriters on end-to-end underwriting processes, from initial submission review through policy issuance and post-bind activities
  • Operate and maintain proficiency in various underwriting systems
  • Manage multiple workflows and maintain visibility into task status and deadlines
  • Assist in creating quotes, binders, certificates, and endorsements
  • Ensure all documentation is properly filed and compliant with audit standards
  • Review policies and discuss changes with underwriters
  • Collaborates and corresponds with internal and external contacts
  • Monitor account receivables and assist the accounting team with reconciliation
  • Contribute to special projects and assignments as needed

You will report to the Assistant Operations Manager.

  • College Degree Preferred
  • Some technical experience in an insurance/reinsurance company
  • Have an understanding of property insurance and global programs
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (including pivot tables), Outlook, and Word; PowerPoint a plus
  • Robust organization, analytical, and time management skills
  • Ability to work self-directed and collaboratively within a team environment

The U.S. base salary range for this position is USD 53,100 – 84,000. 

Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual’s skills, experience and location. We strive for market alignment and internal equity with our colleagues’ pay.
