About the OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting permanent waged opportunity for an Air Life Support Fitter to join our team at Pearce, WA.

You will be responsible for servicing and maintaining aircrew life support equipment to defence standards. This hands-on role supports BF operations by ensuring equipment readiness, troubleshooting faults, and fitting pilot gear for optimal safety.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Service and maintain aircrew life support equipment to defence standards.
  • Support BF operations with hands-on technical expertise and equipment readiness.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults in life support systems with minimal turnaround time.
  • Fit, test, and adjust pilot life support gear for optimal safety and comfort.
  • Deliver responsive customer support to pilots and operational teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs, and equipment status.

About YOU

  • Trade qualification or relevant defence/aviation experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for customer and pilot interaction.
  • Experience with life support systems or aviation equipment highly regarded.
  • Defence clearance eligibility.
