About the OPPORTUNITIES

We have multiple vacancies for Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics) to join our Hawk Lead-In Fighter program within our Aerospace organisation. As an Avionics Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), you will be responsible to the Team Leader for carrying out scheduled servicing and unscheduled maintenance activities across various aircraft platforms.

These positions are based at RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW. Note, relocation support is available for candidates living outside the Williamtown, Hunter, and Maitland region.

Key RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out maintenance, inspections, and fault diagnosis on avionic systems and components across both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft.
  • Ensure all work is performed using authorised technical data, compliant with regulatory and organisational standards.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities, meeting certification and reporting requirements within required timeframes.
  • Action engineering advice, defect reporting, maintenance deficiencies, and publication amendments as directed.
  • Report and escalate any defects, non-conformances, or quality issues to the Team Leader in line with procedures.
  • Perform maintenance tasks within your delegated authority while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

About YOU

  • Hold an Aircraft Maintenance Trade i.e. Cert IV Aeroskills – Avionics (Mandatory).
  • Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain a Defence Clearance (Mandatory).
  • Experience or a strong interest in working with Defence Military Aircraft.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver work within a fast-paced team environment.
