About the OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Change Lead (PCL) to join our Hunter Class Frigate delivery team based at Osborne Naval Shipyard, South Australia.

Reporting to the Program Change Manager, the PCL will be responsible for delivering the following accountabilities in order to control the Change process, in addition to supporting the Program Change Manager and all stakeholders in program change.

Please note, this position addresses technical change and is not focused on organisational or business change.

We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure that change sentenced through the Change Boards is planned, managed and processed efficiently and effectively.
  • Capture the Impact of Change, through analysis, reporting and active risk management.
  • Develop and maintain of the Change Management Policy and Process for the Programme
  • Support the Delivery of an overall standardised and repeatable Project Change Management Framework / Organisation across all stakeholders, inclusive of IM&T infrastructure
  • Be an SME able to provide guidance and informal training on the overall Change Management Framework to enable a standardised and consistent application of the change processes
  • Work closely with the Engineering, Program Management, Finance and Operations to enable the effective control of change across the Program
  • Maintain and enhance the Program Change metrics and reporting
  • Build and maintain effective liaison with all functional groups involved in enterprise change delivery to enable all functional, quality and other requirements to be delivered.
  • Maintain and enhance the documented, Change Management process, which meets the current and future Programme needs.

About YOU

  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or equivalent (advantageous)
  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the Australian defence sector
  • Experienced in Configuration control and Change Management
  • Knowledge of Cost Control and Schedule Change Management
  • Intermediate MS Office skills, especially in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in supporting change boards and reporting metrics
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • NV1 defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
