Overview

BD is a leading global medical technology company with a mission to advance the world of health. The Clinical Specialist role in the Specimen Management business is pivotal in supporting clinical education, driving product adoption, and fostering strong customer relationships to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical education support for BD Specimen Management portfolio, including Vacutainer specimen collection sets, Phlebotomy related products and all other SM products
  • Conduct presentations for customers and patients on product introduction, application, blood collection, specimen management, and evaluation.
  • Organize and execute promotional events and in-service programs to enhance BD SM value proposition and achieve country business objectives.
  • Develop and implement education/training modules for key customers, opinion leaders, specialists, and distributor sales teams.
  • Plan and implement comprehensive education and promotion programs aligned with business strategy.
  • Maintain productive relationships with key associations, government and private institutions, and distributors to raise medical, safety, and quality standards.
  • Support the sales team with product evaluations and technical challenges, including troubleshooting and product applications in tender cycles with customer opportunities
  • Ensure all product complaints are reported and investigated as per protocol, and communicate results to distributors/customers.
  • Keep up to date with competitive market activities and provide market intelligence and strategy recommendations.
  • Attend meetings, conventions, and training programs as required.
  • Provide orientation to new team members and participate in projects as requested.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in Nursing, Lab tech or equivalent; Certified Phlebotomist is a plus.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of technical support experience in the Medical Device Business or related industry.
  • Strong technical and nursing background, preferably with experience in BD Specimen Management products.
  • Effective communication, organizational, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including after office hours and weekends, as needed.
  • Optional: Class 3 driving license and own a car.
