Job Description

Job Description Summary

We’re looking for a Key Account Manager to grow BD’s Biosciences portfolio across Singapore’s research and clinical markets. You’ll own the full commercial cycle from prospecting and demos through close and pull through, partnering closely with Field Application Specialists and Service to deliver outcomes for leading hospitals, universities, biotech and CRO customers. Product exposure will include flow cytometry instruments and reagents, such as FACSLyric™, FACSDuet™, BD FACSDiscover™ A8/S8, informatics, such as FlowJo™, and single cell multiomics, such as the BD RhapsodyTM.

Job Description

Key responsibilities

  • Achieve annual sales; maintain healthy pipeline coverage and accurate monthly forecasts on various CRM platforms.
  • Lead territory planning, account mapping, competitive displacement, tender/bid submissions (incl. GeBIZ), pricing proposals and contract negotiations.
  • Run high‑quality product presentations, instrument demos and evaluations alongside FAS; translate application needs into solutions, panels and workflows to maximize reagent attach and utilization.
  • Drive post‑install success: reagent/routine adoption plans, customer onboarding, training coordination, and service/CS handoffs to protect NPS and expand share of wallet.
  • Orchestrate internal stakeholders to remove barriers and deliver on time/in full.
  • Keep meticulous CRM hygiene (leads, opportunities, activities, assets), adhere to BD Code of Conduct and local compliance requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Science, Cell Biology, Immunology or related field; advanced degree is an advantage.
  • Prior experience with flow cytometry and/or single cell multiomics
  • Work Style: Self‑starter with disciplined territory management; willing to travel across Singapore and occasionally within the region for training or events.
  • Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territories, with a strong focus on expanding the flow cytometry customer base.
  • Market Knowledge: Demonstrate in-depth understanding of Singapore’s flow cytometry landscape, including key accounts, purchasing trends, and competitive dynamics.
  • Strategic Campaigns: Plan, execute, and manage targeted marketing campaigns and customer engagement events to drive revenue growth and strengthen account relationships.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, technical support, and product specialists to deliver value-added solutions to customers.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor campaign effectiveness and account performance, providing regular updates and insights to stakeholders.

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Technical & Commercial Expertise: ~3+ years in capital equipment and reagent sales or technical/commercial roles in flow cytometry or cell analysis; confident in pre‑ and post‑sales engagement and instrument demonstrations.
  • Sales Track Record: Demonstrated success in consultative selling, and achieving revenue targets.
  • Market Knowledge: Familiarity with Singapore’s healthcare and research ecosystem, including public procurement processes; proven ability to win competitive conversions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
