Role Overview

The Benefits & Wellbeing Engagement Manager at Choice Hotels leads the execution and continuous improvement of benefits and wellbeing programs. Based in North Bethesda, Maryland, this hybrid role (four days onsite at Pike & Rose headquarters, one day remote) offers a salary range of $112,000 - $125,000 annually, plus eligibility for the Management Incentive Plan (MIP) bonus. You'll deliver exceptional associate support, manage communications, and champion holistic initiatives in physical, mental, and financial health. Partnering with HR, Corporate Communications, Belonging teams, and vendors, you'll shape a best-in-class associate experience in the dynamic hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you'll drive associate satisfaction through strategic oversight and execution:

• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex inquiries on benefits like medical, dental, vision, life, disability, HSA, FSA, and 401(k), ensuring exceptional customer service.
• Oversee onboarding, changes, terminations, and retirement processes with accuracy and compliance.
• Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of company-wide wellbeing initiatives focused on physical, mental, and financial health.
• Manage annual health fairs, wellness events, and the ongoing wellness calendar.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy, partnering with Corporate Communications for clear, engaging messaging.
• Collaborate with the Belonging team to integrate initiatives that reinforce Choice Hotels' 'Make It Your Choice' brand.
• Ensure compliance with regulations including HIPAA, PPACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, and Section 125.
• Manage relationships with benefits and wellness vendors, monitoring service levels.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed, candidates need:

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in benefits administration, communications, and/or wellbeing program management.
• Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional projects and leading initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of benefits regulations and best practices.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Analytical, organizational, and project management expertise.
• Ability to thrive independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
