Global Consultant Relations, Global Client Business

BlackRock's institutional client business serves corporate and public-sector pension funds, charities and endowments, insurers and other financial institutions, sovereign wealth funds as well as governments and official institutions.

The Global Consultant Relations (GCR) team sits within the Global Client Business. GCR is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with global, regional and local consultants across all asset classes. Primarily based in the US and UK, GCR is also represented in Germany, Switzerland, Canada, Japan, Hong Kong and Australia.

Job Purpose/Background:

This role will play a crucial part in supporting the day-to-day sales and research efforts across GCR, in supporting our Senior RMs to position our target products and seek research meetings, service existing investment ratings, as well as monetization alongside our sales partners. This is a fixed term contract opportunity.

Key responsibilities

  • Key point of contact, facilitating your clients’ day to day service needs in relation to their portfolios and investments with us
  • Manage internal and external servicing relationships demonstrating strong knowledge of the firm’s operating platform
  • Liaising with product specialist teams to help the Sales Support team in answering client queries, perform analysis and provide additional information
  • Assisting relationship managers by coordinating post meeting follow ups e.g. working with business partners to provide additional information on funds, running analysis
  • Creating content and presentations for relationship managers to use in client meetings and obtaining compliance and business approval
  • Coordination of events, roadshows, roundtables and webinars
  • Provide operational support to the sales process, including RFP co-ordination and defending existing investments
  • Participate in projects/initiatives (regulatory, platform and/or client) that impact the client.
  • Ensures relevant teams understand timely and accurate client requests
  • Liaising with automation & reporting team to improve processes, build efficiencies and increase quality standards for tailor-made reporting
  • Responsible to ensure that all regulatory and legal requirements and standards are met, including achieving MIFID II Information Provider status

Key Skills/ Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will be a degree qualified individual with at least 1-3 years financial services experience ideally within the asset management industry
  • Superior written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in English
  • A motivated individual that demonstrates drive and enthusiasm. Willing to learn, innovate and improve
  • Team player and an enthusiastic “can do” attitude
  • Good organisational skills, ability to manage own priorities and meet hard deadlines
