In this critical leadership role, you'll oversee the Behavioral Insights Team (BIT) specializing in Bitcoin and crypto risk analysis. Your mission: detect, prevent, and mitigate fraudulent behaviors using cutting-edge blockchain analytics, machine learning models, and deep domain expertise. Collaborating across Product, Engineering, Finance, Compliance, and Operations, you'll safeguard our customers, platform, and brand reputation in the fast-evolving world of digital assets.

Key Responsibilities

As Behavioral Insights Lead - Bitcoin, your day-to-day will involve strategic team leadership and hands-on fraud investigation. Here's what you'll tackle:

• Team Building & Development: Recruit, mentor, and grow a team of elite analysts focused on behavioral and blockchain insights.

• Talent Partnership: Work with HR and Recruiting to source top crypto fraud talent and navigate policies.
• Advanced Analytics: Lead deep dives into behavioral patterns, blockchain data, and anomalies signaling fraud.
• Crypto Expertise Application: Leverage Bitcoin knowledge to uncover Lightning Network scams and crypto-specific threats.
• Pattern Diagnosis: Identify fraud trends and recommend data-backed prevention measures.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering and product teams to build ML-driven safeguards.
• Model Development: Guide creation and validation of ML models for scalable risk management.
• Complex Case Resolution: Analyze high-stakes fraud with full financial impact evaluations.

Qualifications

To succeed, you'll need:

• 5+ years in cryptocurrency fraud detection or blockchain investigations.
• 3+ years leading analytics or risk teams in fintech/crypto.
• Expert-level Bitcoin knowledge, including Lightning Network mechanics.
• Proven ML model experience for fraud/risk applications.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills.
• Track record in high-velocity environments.
• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Data Science, or related (advanced degree preferred).
• Experience with tools like SQL, Python, blockchain explorers.

Salary & Benefits

Salary Range: $180,000 - $250,000 USD yearly, based on experience, plus equity and bonuses.
